Small Animal Surgical Specialist
Geraldine is a registered Surgery Specialist with particular skills in Soft Tissue surgery, including cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, reconstructive surgery and surgery of cats. She has lectured recently to Veterinarians on Perineal Hernia, Mast Cell Tumours, Respiratory Disease, Pelvic and Perineal Masses and Oro-nasal Fistulae. Geraldine's main research interest is in congenital portosystemic shunts in dogs.

Max graduated from Sydney University in 1969 and qualified as specialist animal surgeon, and a Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 1985. Max has a part-time appointment at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Sydney as Honorary Associate Professor of Surgery with responsibility for teaching surgery to final year students and developing computer based learning programmes for medical and surgical teaching.
Max, has a particular interest in orthopaedics, oncology and nuclear medicine and is a partner at the Gladesville Veterinary Hospital in suburban Sydney.
Dr Soo Kuan

Small Animal Surgery Resident
Soo graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000. Since graduation, Soo has worked in zoos, and in several small animal practices. In 2004, whilst in private practice Soo obtained her membership in small animal surgery with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists. She then completed a surgical internship at the Northern Sydney Veterinary Specialist Centre. In 2006, Soo returned to the University Veterinary Centre Sydney as a small animal surgery resident, with the aim to attain Fellowship in Small Animal Surgery.
Soo shares her life with 3 dogs and 4 cats, and also organises the monthly surgery journal club in Sydney for all specialists and any practitioners interested in small animal surgery.

Senior Clinical Veterinary Registrar in Small Animal Surgery
John graduated from the University of Cambridge, England in 1988. After three years in general practice in England, he emigrated to Australia where he has spent most of his time in private small animal practice in Melbourne. During his time in practice, he obtained Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in both Small Animal Medicine and Small Animal Surgery.
John is a keen abstract and landscape photographer. He has two young children, who occupy most of his time outside of work.
