VN Veterinary Nursing Diploma (UK)
Head Nurse/Nursing Supervisor
Career History
Emma joined UVTHS in November 2005 as an ICU nurse and has recently been appointnted as the UVTHS nursing supervisor. In 1995 Emma moved from Ireland to London to study at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Following her training as a veterinary nurse, Emma worked at an emergency clinic in London and then in private practices in Australia.
Special Interests
In her spare time Emma carries out sports massage and takes care of her lovely cat ‘Gingie’.
Mrs Joanne Tapp

Jo is currently on maternity leave.
Career History
Jo obtained her Associate Diploma in Animal Technology from Ultimo TAFE in 2001, and joined the UVTHS as a veterinary nurse in April, 2003. Like most nurses, she has a menagerie, which keeps her busy (two dogs, a cat, a rabbit and assorted fish). She also enjoys being outdoors, reading and spending time with her son.
Mrs Rhonda Foreman

Career History
One of the most longstanding members of the medicine team, Rhonda joined the UVTHS as a veterinary nurse in 1986. During her time here she has completed TAFE training in both Domestic animal care and veterinary nursing. Rhonda is also the safety officer at the UVTHS.
Special Interests
Rhonda’s interests include veterinary dermatology and diagnostic imaging. Rhonda also enjoys taking care of her two young sons Kane and Bowen, her goldfish and Chihuahua cross foxy ‘Chelsea’.
Ms Natasha Whitehead

Career History
Natasha has an Advanced Certificate in veterinary nursing and is currently completing a degree in Small Business Management. Before joining the UVTHS, Natasha worked in both a mixed country practice and an Equine Hospital. She is currently working as an intensive care nurse and her responsibilities are in the care and treatment of patients after hours. She also runs the clinic obesity program ‘Fatties to Fitties’.
Special Interests
In her spare time she is kept busy looking after her 2 labradors and cat. Her interests are canine agility, horse riding/instructing, travelling and boxing.
Ms Kylie Drake

Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Nursing
Career History
Kylie has an advanced certificate in veterinary nursing and is currently studying for her diploma in surgery nursing. Kylie worked for 10 years in private practice before joining the UVTHS. Kylie works in the surgery department as a surgery nurse and also works part-time as an emergency nurse.
Ms Jennie Doyle

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
Career History
Jennie joined the UVTHS team in June 2005 as an ICU nurse. Jennie had previously worked in a busy small animal clinic in Sydney, where she had been for three and a half years. Jennie is a qualified veterinary nurse, completing certificate IV in veterinary nursing with distinctions, in 2001.
Special Interests
In her spare time Jennie enjoys doting on her two very spoilt babies (her cats!) as well as two horses.
Ms Kelly Amaro

Career History
Kelly spent 15 years in a busy private practice as a head nurse and Puppy Preschool teacher and some time in a specialist centre before joining the UVTHS team in 2005.
Special Interests
Her dog training business 'Love on a Leash' was established as a result of her interest in animal behaviour and she now also runs Puppy Classes at UVTHS. Kelly enjoys belly dance and listening to Prince.
