Finding Somewhere to Live

The University has an Accommodation Office whose role is to help you find somewhere appropriate to live, should you need accommodation when you come to the University of Sydney.

There are a number of choices when it comes to finding somewhere to stay. It is a very personal decision and only you can decide what is best for you, but the Accommodation Office can offer you advice about what is available. There are some on-campus and off-campus halls of residence and colleges available, there are student hostels and a repository of advertisements for house-shares available in the vicinity of the University.

Visit their website, or go and see them in person for help and advice. They can be found at Room 726, Level 7 of the Education Building A35, Manning road (beside Manning House), Camperdown Campus (see location page for map and phone/email contact details.)

They also have an online database, which once you are registered with the University and have a Unikey username and password, you can use to search for accommodation. A link to a street directory is also provided so you can see where the available places are!

There is a separate section for international students, too, as we are aware of how difficult it can be moving a long distance and setting up a new life. In addition to the information and on-campus accommodation forms on this website, the International Student Support Unit can help with arranging off campus accommodation as well as providing other support networks.

If you are looking for accommodation at Camden, then you should contact the Mrs Bernice Joudgalvis at the Camden Properties Office. She is available on (02) 9351 1662 or (02) 9351 1673 or can be contacted on email at: .

If you want to go in person, the Properties Office is in Nepean Hall (C05), Camden.
