Appeals

If you have any concerns about any aspect of a unit of study with regards to teaching or assessment methods affecting your academic progress, you should first discuss your concerns informally with your facilitator. If the issue is not resolved by this means, you may approach the Learner Support Coordinator with your complaint, informally or in writing. If, however, the appeal cannot be resolved, the Learner Support Coordinator will advise you of the next level of the appeals process.

In any case, the issue will be dealt with promptly and professionally by all staff members involved. We take all student concerns seriously and no student will be discriminated against for making a complaint.

Appeals Process

You may lodge an appeal with the Faculty against any academic (or non-academic) decision made by the University of Sydney or Faculty of Veterinary Science if you believe the decision, affecting your candidature for a degree/diploma, did not take into account all of the relevant matters.

Normally such an appeal will not be heard unless you have exhausted all other avenues. You can find more information regarding the appeals process at the SUPRA and Student Centre websites.

For resolutions and procedures for the appeals process in postgraduate coursework degrees/diplomas, see the University of Sydney Appeals policy.
