Online Mendelian Inheritance in Animals (OMIA)
Compiled by F.W. Nicholas, S.C. Brown and P.R. Le Tissier at the University of Sydney, OMIA is "a database of the genes and phenes that have been documented in a wide range of animal species other than those for which databases already exist (human, rat and mouse)." It is modelled on, and is complementary to, Dr. Victor A.
McKusick's Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM)

Canine Inherited Disorders Database - UK
A database of "diseases/conditions of pure bred dogs which are likely to be transmitted wholly or partly through a genetic mechanism". Compiled by David Sargan and published by the University of Cambridge, UK. The database contains "disease listings and short descriptions; genetic and molecular genetic summaries where known; and entry points to the literature on each disease". Users can browse by breed or genetic anomaly, or search by keyword.

Canine Inherited Disorders Database - Canada
This database is a joint initiative of the Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. The site is still under construction however there is already a wealth of information on various inherited disorders and details of which breeds are affected by them.

Canine Inherited Disorders Database - USA
Based at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, the Institute for Genetic Disease Control (GDC) is a non-profit controlled-access registry of canine genetic diseases. Established in 1990, GDC provides information on the genetic diseases including orthopaedic diseases, eye diseases, skin diseases, cardiac diseases, tumours and hearing diseases. To access documents on registration, certification, and "KinReports", brief registration required.
