Le Tissier at the University of Sydney, OMIA is "a database of the genes and phenes that have been documented in a wide range of animal species other than those for which databases already exist (human, rat and mouse)." It is modelled on, and is complementary to, Dr. Victor A. McKusick's Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM)
