Information For Prospective International Students
The Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney has received further international recognition with accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Sydney now joins an elite group of vet schools outside North America which have already achieved this status. It is only the third veterinary school in Australasia to reach this standard.
The accreditation comes from the AVMA's Council on Education, which is recognised by the US Department of Education and acts as the accrediting agency for some 30 faculties of veterinary medicine in the United States and Canada.
Full fee paying international students must have achieved a similar standard to that expected of an Australian student seeking entry.
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of their Year 12 or equivalent results or on their tertiary studies as appropriate, students with a Bachelors degree from a recognized University are invited to apply.
