Summary

The research project aims to develop your research skills.

Learning Outcomes

It is assumed that you have acquired the knowledge and skills developed in all the core units of study required for the Master of Veterinary Public Health Management. It is a requirement of the MVPHMgt that you have a minimal level of academic performance and skill. You will need to obtain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70, in your first 24 credit points of study in VPHMgt, to proceed to the units of study for the Research Project (VETS7018 and VETS7019). Although you are enrolled in the research project units in Semester 2 of the academic year, you will need to commence your project in Semester 1. This means that you will still be acquiring some of the knowledge required for your research project as you begin it. As you complete your units of study in Semester 1, you may like to consider how each learning outcome contributes to your skills and knowledge required for the research project.

Assumed Knowlege

Completing the Research Project will enable you to execute research in a professional and ethical manner.

Assessment

Assessment of both the 6 and 12 credit point Research Project will include:

  • project Proposal - assessed in VETS7005 Veterinary Epidemiology 2;
  • 2 Progress Reports (5% each);
