Course Method
The Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Public Health (GradDipVPH) is a coursework program comprised of distance education units of study.
Course Objectives
- To develop knowledge and skills in veterinary public health particularly veterinary epidemiology, food science, zoonoses, disease control, animal health economics and animal health policy development
- To develop particular expertise in one or more relevant fields of veterinary public health according to the electives chosen by the student

Animal health professionals who want a career path in veterinary public health and who realise a need for further training to support the technical aspects of current and future employment.
Course Structure
Candidates must satisfactorily complete 8 core units of study, granting a minimum of 36 credit points AND an additional 9 credit points of electives selected from approved units of study.

Course Length
A full-time candidate will complete the requirements for the Graduate Diploma in a minimum of 2 semesters and a maximum of 3 semesters. A part-time candidate will complete the requirements for the Graduate Diploma in a minimum of 3 semesters and a maximum of 6 semesters.
Entry Requirements
A Bachelor degree in veterinary science, animal science or equivalent or Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Public Health.
