How to Enrol
Enrolment is the formal process of registering for courses after arrival at the University. During enrolment, coursework students select their units of study and receive further advice on their programs. Please note: The enrolment dates and venues below do not apply to Study Abroad and Exchange students. Study Abroad and Exchange students normally enrol at the International Office and will be advised separately if there is any change to this policy both before arrival and again at Orientation.
To enrol for a Faculty of Veterinary Science program, new students must:
- attend the Faculty office (Room 218 JD Stewart Building see Locations for directions) during office hours (09:00-
16:00) on the enrolment dates in your documentation. - take your receipt for payment of fees or a copy of your Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) take a passport-sized photograph for your student card.
Proxy Enrolment
If you are unable to attend your scheduled enrolment in person, you must arrange for someone to attend for you. Proxy enrolment guidelines and authorisation forms are available from the International Office. Complete the proxy enrolment form to give someone else (parent, friend, or partner) authority to enrol for you. The person acting as your proxy must be able to produce your authorisation at the time of enrolment, pay all fees and compulsory charges due. Make sure your proxy has complete and correct information regarding the course and units of study in which you wish to enrol.
Change of Enrolment (units of study)
Students may change their unit of study enrolment during the first few weeks of semester. If you wish to change your enrolment by dropping or adding a units (or units), and there is no faculty objection, changes can be submitted until the following dates:
- 31st March - Semester 1
- 31st August - Semester 2
Changing unit of study enrolment is explained on the Confirmation of Enrolment form you will receive after your initial enrolment. Make the changes on that form and submit it to the Student Centre on main campus, or to your faculty student administration office (where appropriate). The Student Centre or your faculty student administration office will help you with any enquiries about your enrolment.
