Graduate Program in Small Animal Clinical Studies

Course Description

The Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Studies (Small Animal Clinical Studies) is a highly specialised and competitive program which will, in contrast to internships offered elsewhere, give graduates a postgraduate qualification in addition to a wealth of broad clinical experience and the expertise of world-class educators.

This internship combines an emphasis on medicine with rotations in surgery, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. This gives interns exposure to advanced techniques and the highest quality of training in a range of disciplines, with an option for undertaking a Research Project at the Master's level.

Aims of the Small Animal Clinical Studies program

  • To equip veterinarians who wish to broaden their expertise in a wide range of clinical areas
  • As a first step for veterinarians wanting to apply for clinical track specialisation, either in Australia or in overseas accredited programs
  • To see the Small Animal Clinical Studies Learning Outcomes outworked in their professional life (click link below to view outcomes).
