All students must attend. Half the class will attend in the period 24-28 November 2008, and half in the period 23-27 February 2009.

Transport / Accommodation at Camden

Students need to arrange their own transport to Camden. Camden Campus has accommodation at Nepean Hall available for students at a cost. Accommodation will only be available when a minimum of 20 students are booked in, each week.

Application for Exemption

Students enrolled in First Year who believe they have already become proficient in the handling and management of a particular species may apply for exemption from further work with that species. All such applications must be addressed to the Sub-Dean in writing and submitted to the Faculty Office by the end of December in Year 1. The applications should contain sufficient information about the variety and periods of experience already obtained and how well the student has already reached the learning objectives of this unit of study so that the Coordinator of Extramural Work in Animal Husbandry can reasonably make decisions without the need for interviews. Applicants will be advised of the decisions as soon as practicable. Students who are in doubt as to their eligibility should discuss the matter with the Coordinator.

Students granted exemptions for one or more species are required to submit only a report coversheet.
