Abattoir Placements 2009 - Requirements

Students undertaking the 2009 Abattoir Placement Program will be required to complete:

* 2 day Wet Lab training program at Camden during 2008, prior to site placements

*3 day on site placement at and approved AQIS Export Abattoir between January 2009 and July 2009

Students must have received a Q-Fever vaccination or tested positive for Q-Fever antibodies prior to placement. A copy of your Q-Fever vaccination certificate or certificate of antibodies present must be presented to the Extramural Administration Unit in the Faculty Office by Friday, 31st October, 2008.

Students who have not received a Q-Fever vaccination should see the University Health Services in the Wentworth building about when you can receive this vaccination. Students who have not received a Q-Fever vaccination or been tested for antibodies, by the end of October 2008, must advise the Co-ordinator Extramural placements in writing be email to: abattoir@vetsci.usyd.edu.au
