Abattoir Placements 2009 - Overview

As a compulsory requirement of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science, students who have enrolled in VETS3025 Veterinary Public Health, in 2008 and who have undertaken the Wet Lab training program at Camden, are required to undertake a 3 day compulsory Abattoir placement. Abattoir placements are undertaken at AQIS (Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service) approved export abattoirs. Students will work with AQIS On-Plant Veterinarians and abattoir staff, during the placement, to achieve specific learning outcomes.
