Extramural Practical Work Placements - Electives

Students have the option to complete 4 weeks of Elective placements to develop further skills in other areas or to further their skills with the core species listed above. This includes Veterinary Practices, Wildlife Parks/ Zoos, Alpaca farms etc. You can use accredited properties or source non database organisations. The Orange Horse Course is recommended for those interested in horses. On completion of these placements, students are required to complete an online Self Assessment / Skills Shee, a Feedback Form and have their supervisor complete a Supervisor’s Report. No assignments are required.

Use of Non Database Sites

Non database properties may be used for elective placements only.

Students must have completed by the own/manager of any site they are intending to an Animal Husbandry Property/Farm Profile Survey and an Principals Agreement Form
