How to Apply

This page provides information on the application due dates, process and entry requirements for the postgraduate programs in:

Veterinary Public Health Management

Applications for admission into the VPHMgt program must be submitted by 30 November for the February intake, or by 20 June for the July intake. Late applications will be accepted, although preference will be given to those received early.

Students will be advised of the success of their application in early January for enrolment in the February semester and late June for enrolment in the July semester.

Entry Requirements
As a postgraduate program, entry requirements are based on the level of knowledge that you will need to be able to complete course requirements. If you have completed prior study that meets these requirements but is not a degree listed in the entry requirements, your previous study will most likely make you eligible for admission. This assumed knowledge is an undergraduate degree in a scientific discipline and a basic understanding of biology and statistics.

A refresher course will be available before the start of Semester 1 to help you with statistics, if you need it. Please see Biostatistics Refresher Course for more information.

Entry requirements for the three courses in the Veterinary Public Health Management Program are as follows:

Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Public Health Management (GradCertVPHMgt)

  • Bachelors degree in veterinary science, animal science or equivalent, or
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in a relevant discipline with approval of the Dean.

Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Public Health Management (GradDipVPHMgt)

  • Bachelors degree in veterinary science, animal science or equivalent; or
  • Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Public Health Management.

Master of Veterinary Public Health Management (MVPHMgt)

  • Bachelors degree in veterinary science, animal science or equivalent, or
  • Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Public Health Management; or
  • Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Public Health Management.
