Special Consideration

If you are experiencing difficulties meeting the demands of one or more units of study due to illness, personal/family matters or misadventure, then it is imperative that you take the time to contact Program Administration and/or your Facilitator, and inform them of the problem. In any case, we will endeavour to instigate the most appropriate course of action for you.

Special Consideration Form

A Special Consideration Form must be completed and submitted to Program Administration as early as possible. The form must be accompanied by written documentation as evidence supporting your request, such as medical certificate, description of problem, accident report, etc.

In the case of illness, the Special Consideration Form must be accompanied by a medical certificate signed by your doctor. The medical certificate should:

• describe the nature of your illness;
• indicate the duration (or probable duration) of your illness and the extent to which the illness has affected your ability to perform in the assessment; and
• indicate the date(s) on which you sought medical attention.
